You stop judging your content based on whether you could have said something better. I can guarantee that you will always feel like you could have improved a word here or a sentence there, but that’s not the right way to measure your work.
The real goal of content creation isn’t to deliver perfectly polished information; it’s to convey the essence and the feeling behind your idea. When you find yourself getting stuck, you are likely judging the information and not the essence. Think about it: does any author ever feel their book is truly final, with nothing more to add?. Of course not. The creative process is never truly “done”.
Your audience won’t remember every single word you say, anyway. What they will remember is the core of your message and how it made them feel. If you successfully conveyed that essence, you’ve done your job.
Action Step: The next time you create a piece of content and feel that urge to re-do it, ask yourself one simple question: “Did I successfully convey the essence (feeling) of what I wanted to say?”. If the answer is yes, publish it.
Don’t let the quest for the “perfect” content stop you from sharing a powerful idea. The world needs to hear what you have to say right now. Not tomorrow.
