A character >> is put into a situation >> faces a problem >> then takes an action >> that leads to consequences >> that creates a new situation >> until he faces the next problem >> and it continues.
The decisions that the character makes when they face a problem in a “situation” reveals who he/she really is.
The key here is the “situation”. That’s where all the juice is.
That’s what makes “once upon a time” so interesting.
